Honor Code

All students of the University of Colorado at Boulder are responsible for knowing and adhering to the academic integrity policy of this institution. Violations of this policy may include: cheating, plagiarism, aid of academic dishonesty, fabrication, lying, bribery, and threatening behavior. All incidents of academic misconduct shall be reported to the Honor Code Council (honor@colorado.edu; 303-725-2273). Students who are found to be in violation of the academic integrity policy will be subject to both academic sanctions from the faculty member and non-academic sanctions (including but not limited to university probation, suspension, or expulsion). Week 4 (September 16 - September 20). The symmetric group and isomorphisms

Week 5 (September 23 - September 27). Cayley's Theorem and Products

Week 6 (September 30 - October 4). Cayley's Theorem and Midterm 1

Week 7 (October 7 - October 11). Matrix groups,. Project 1 due.

Week 8 (October 14 - October 18). Lagrange's Theorem, Partitions, and Conjugacy

Week 9 (October 21 - October 25). Conjugacy, Cauchy's Theorem, and homomorphisms

Week 10 (October 28 - November 1). Quotients groups and homomorphisms

Week 11 (November 4 - November 8). Isomorphism Theorems.

Week 12 (November 11 - November 15). Group actions. Project 2 due.

Week 13 (November 18 - November 22). Sylow Theory. Midterm 2 due.
