Miscellaneous

Living in Colorado has rekindled my skiing hobby. This past winter, I started to dip my toes into backcountry skiing. Having to work for your turns isn't so bad when you find snow like this:

I've spent time the last couple summers exploring Olympic National Park. If you haven't been there, I cannot recommend it highly enough. I've been lucky enough to visit many national parks; Olympic is by far my favorite. Here a few photos from these adventures:

Skyline Ridge, near Lake Beauty.
The depth of these colors was from wildfire smoke.
Eleven Bull Basin, Bailey Range.
The heavily glaciated peak in the distance is Mount Olympus.
Ferry Basin, Bailey Range.
If you squint, you can see a herd of Roosevelt Elk.

This summer, I have more trips to the Olympics scheduled. The goal is make it into Queets Basin.
