On divisors of Lucas numbers

The Lucas numbers are terms of sequences with striking divisibility properties ,indeed these properties were exploited by Matijasevic in his proof of Hilbert's 10th problem. We shall discuss recent work estimating the greatest prime factor of terms of Lucas sequences and other related sequences.
