An Exposition on Lubin-Tate Theory
 Erika Frugoni, CU Boulder
One of the goals of local class field theory is to describe the
maximal abelian extension of a local field ("the existence theorem"). In
this talk, I will follow the method of Lubin and Tate in constructing
this maximal abelian extension using formal groups. Using this
construction,
I will then define the so-called norm residue map and prove the local
Kronecker-Weber Theorem.
