Math 4310, Introduction to Analysis, Spring 08

Course Contents:

Acquaints students with calculus of one variable. Topics include the real number system, continuity, differentiation, sequences and series, convergence, uniform convergence, Taylor's theorem, and integration.

MWF 11:00 a.m. - 11:50 a.m., ECCR 108.

Homework:

Homework assignments will be given on the course homepage on a bi-weekly basis starting Friday, January 18th. Homework is due at the beginning of each class on the second Friday following the assignment. It is the student's responsibility to get these assignments in the event of an absence from class. Homework will be graded. Late turn-ins will not be accepted. Show all your work.
A take-home midterm will be assigned on Friday, March 14th; it is due on Monday, March 31st. A take-home final exam will be assigned on Friday, April 18th; it is due on Monday, May 5th.

Course Grading:

Your grade will be determined from the graded homework (50%), the midterm (20%), and the final exam (30%).
