This paper gives an initial description of the five-dimensional conformal unified field theory subsequently refined and elaborated as the theory of space-time–time. It shows how space-time can be derived from space by way of a simple geometrical construction on the four-dimensional manifold of two-spheres in euclidean three-space, and how space-time–time arises from space-time by application of the analogous construction to the five-dimensional manifold of three-‘spheres’ in minkowskian space-time.
